Waiting for Godot

   I have a date for the release of my next novel, Capitol Losses—November 18th.  All the editing is done and the cover has been chosen.  I have a digital copy of the book.

  It is September 10th.  In other words, it is over two months between today and the release date. What will happen over the next two months?  We will be getting endorsement quotes, preparing marketing material and getting the book on the sales web sites.  But the writing/editing is done.  Like the play, I am just waiting.

   What to do over the next two months?  I have started another story which I cannot decide whether to make a short story or build it into novel three.  But I also am afraid to focus on the next thing when I will need to be ready to go when the starting gun goes off for Capitol Losses.

   The only up side of this debate is that it gives me an excuse not to do anything…….
